In February 1923 the old Pacific
Electric depot, on the northeast corner of Brand Boulevard and Broadway, was
demolished. Shortly thereafter, Security Trust and Savings Bank,
having acquired the corner site, began construction on Glendale's first
six-story building, completing it in 1924. The

The Pacific Electric Depot, at the southeast corner of Broadway and Brand
Boulevard, shown here in 1909, was built for $5,000 in 1906. The
property was sold to the Security Trust and Savings Bank (note above) in
