Glendale developed rapidly in the early 1920s, as evidenced by this panoramic view of the intersection of Brand Boulevard and Broadway in 1924.  The 100 North Brand Building stood out since it was the only six-story building in the area.

The intersection of Brand Boulevard and Broadway remains the hub of Glendale business and professional services.  However, the small town atmosphere and charm remains interspersed among the new and the old and a fantastic view of the Verdugo Mountains is available from almost anywhere in the city.
